- 6/2 - Bill Buckner delivered a two-out, two-run single off Jeff Reardon that scored Wade Boggs and pinch-runner Ellis Burks to come back from a 5-4 deficit.
- 6/3 - Mike Greenwell hit a game tying two-run homer in the 9th off Jeff Reardon, and the Red Sox won it in 10 when Wade Boggs singled home Ed Romero.
Boston 7, Minnesota 6 - 10 innings
- 7/18 - Jim Rice hit a solo homerun off Dennis Eckersley to tie it in the 9th and Dave Henderson hit a two run bomb off Gene Nelson to score Dwight Evans in the 10th.
Boston 5, Oakland 3 - 10 innings
- 8/7 - John Marzano hit a Sacrifice Fly to score Don Baylor with the tying run in the 9th before Marty Barrett drew a base loaded walk scoring Dwight Evans with the winning run.
- 9/12 - Wade Boggs singled home Ellis Burks who had just stolen second base to give Bruce Hurst the Complete Game victory.
- 10/2 - Spike Owen homered in the 12th off Milwaukee starter Teddy Higuera. Higuera worked 11.1 innings that night while Sox starter Jeff Sellers matched him with 11 innings of two-run ball. Wes Gardner picked up the win for working a scoreless 12th.
