Boston 5, Chicago 4 - 10 innings

  • 5/23 - Dwight Evans singled off Jerry Reed to bring home Ellis Burks, who had doubled with two outs. The Red Sox scored four runs in the final three innings to win.

Boston 6, Seattle 5

Boston 3, Oakland 2 - 10 innings

  • 5/31 - The A's scored an unearned run in the ninth inning due to Jody Reed's error, then scored the go-ahead run on a Dave Parker home run in the tenth inning. In their half of the tenth, the Red Sox got a run off of a Sam Horn RBI groundout before Rick Cerone singled home Ellis Burks for the victory.
