Note: In 1959, baseball fans put the pressure on MLB to make the All-Star Game more exciting. In response to that pressure, MLB decided to have the first All-Star Game "Doubleheader". The first game was played on July 7th, and the second game took place on August 3rd. For the second game, managers were not bound by using only voted in players and were able to play whomever they chose.
