Scouting Report
- SoxProspects Scouting Report
- Hertzler possesses a low-90s 2-seam fastball, a nice splitter, and a solid curve. The East Providence High School Grad pitched CCSU deep into the college World Series, pitching 87 innings before being drafted by the Red Sox in the 11th round. Hertzler saw limited innings with Lowell and Augusta in 2003 as to avoid burning him out. Lifelong Red Sox fan. Projects as a middle reliever, advanced well in 2005.
