Overall Career
Bernard Albert Friberg was born on August 18, 1899, in Manchester, NH. Friberg was 20 years old when he broke into the big leagues on August 20, 1919, with the Chicago Cubs. Friberg had a 14 year career as a second baseman. in 1,299 games he batted .281 with 38 HR and 417 RBI.
Friberg played every position during his career, he tried pitching, but injuries to his teammates forced him to remain in the infield. After his playing days, he worked for the General Electric Transportation Department.
