Overall Career
William Joseph "Bill" Buckner (born December 14, 1949 in Vallejo, CA), was one of the best hitters of the 70s and 80s, but his career will forever be overshadowed by one crucial error in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series. The people of Boston, however, have generally long since forgiven him. After his playing days, Buckner was a Chicago White Sox coach in 1996 and 1997.
