Robert Zupcic (born August 18, 1966 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 1st round (32nd pick) of the 1987 Amateur Draft.

Overall Career
Zupcic played minor league ball in Elmira, Lynchburg, New Britain and Pawtucket before being called up to Boston in September 1991. In his Boston Minor League Career, he put up a line of .252/.317/.386 with 45 home runs.
Zupcic was a right-handed outfielder and played a total of 319 in the Major Leagues, with a lifetime batting average of .250 with 7 home runs and 80 RBI. His best season was 1992, when he played in 124 games and put up a line of .276/.322/.352 with 24 extra base hits.
Boston released Zupcic after 4 years, and on May 5, 1994, he was claimed off waivers by the Chicago White Sox. Zupcic bounced around with the Marlins, Phillies, Pirates, and Royals' Triple A affiliates until 1997 and eventually retired after hurting his back.
Zupcic may be most notable for being the fifth-from-last entry in the Baseball Encyclopedia alphabetically. He trails only Frank Zupo, Paul Zuvella, George Zuverink, and Dutch Zwilling in that category.

- In 1985, Bob was named by Baseball America as Co-MVP of the College Summer Leagues.
- In 1992, Zupcic hit two of Boston's Major League-leading seven grand slams.

- Also played quarterback in high school, and was the Courier Times Football Player of the Year as a senior. He declined football scholarships to West Virginia and Rutgers.
