Overall Career

Riske is reliever of occasional efficacy. After spending several seasons with Cleveland, including an very productive 2003, the Tribe traded him to the Boston Red Sox the deal that included Coco Crisp during the 2006 offseason. His tenure with the Red Sox was short, as he threw only 9 innings for the Old Towne Team before getting shipped out for Javier Lopez in the summer of 2006.

After the 2006 season, Riske was granted free agency. He signed a short deal with the Kansas City Royals and pitched quite well, posting a 19 Earned Runs in 69 innings of work. This perfomance landed him a lucrative multi-year deal with the Milwaukee Brewers. Injuries plagued Riske in 2008, and he did not pitch during Milwaukee's run to the postseason.
