History

The baseball park is named after Edson Hadlock Jr., a baseball coach at local Portland High School from 1950-1978. The park was opened on April 18 in 1994, today is has a seating capacity of 7,368.

The ballpark features the "Maine Monster" in left field, 315 feet from home plate. Standing in at 37 feet, the same height as the Green Monster in Fenway Park, the wall adds a touch of Boston to Hadlock Field. To add to the feel, there's even a Coke bottle and Citgo sign over the Maine Monster to complete the feel.
