Overall Career

Jamie Monroe Brown (born March 31, 1977 in Meridian, Mississippi) appeared in four games out of the bullpen for the 2004 Red Sox. He batted and threw right handed.

A 21st round draft pick by the Indians in 1996, Brown bounced around Cleveland's farm system before a trade sent him to the Boston Red Sox in the summer of 2003. Used mainly as a starter at Pawtucket in 2004, Brown was called up to the Boston bullpen on May 12, replacing Byung-Hyun Kim. He made his major league debut on May 20 at Tampa Bay, allowing one run over two innings on three hits. Brown would go on to appear in four games with Boston, posting a 5.87 ERA to go with six strikeouts and four walks in 7.2 innings without a decision.

Following his career in the majors, Brown has played for the Hanshin Tigers of the Japanese Central League (2005) and the Samsung Lions of the Korean Baseball Organization (2006).
