Jerry is the former radio play-by-play man for the Boston Red Sox. He grew up near St. Louis and brought much of the areas passion for baseball, as well as a few anecdotes, from his time there. When broadcasting the 2004 World Series, he coincidentally was placed with Joe in the same practice booth he used at Busch Stadium years ago. After partnering with Joe Castiglione for 15 years, he was replaced by Dave O'Brien and Glenn Geffner in 2007. Trupiano was a somewhat controversial figure in that he received a lot of criticism about his ability to call games. Some pet peeves of fans were:

  • Had a tendency to overexaggerate calls a lot
  • Had really bad depth perception
  • Had trouble distinguishing between fair and foul
  • Makes really corny jokes
