Overall Career
Other than the 2 games he pitched in the majors in 1999, Juan Pena had a tough luck career. He came shoulder pain and tendintis, then in spring training in 2000, suffered a torn MCL in his right elbow and is shelved for the year with Tommy John surgery. He never made it all the way back after that injury, last pitching in the minors for the Cardinals in 2003 and appearing in spring training for the Cubs in 2004.
