Overall Career
Lloyd Andrew "Gimpy" Brown was born on December 25, 1904, in Beeville, TX. Brown was 20 years old when he broke into the big leagues on July 17, 1925, with Brooklyn. Brown had a 12-year career as a left handed pitcher. He finished with a record of 91-105 with 510 Ks and a 4.20 EAR in 1,693 innings.
Brown pitched for 30 years in pro ball, 1923-53, and scouted for the Phillies and Senators.

- He is chiefly remembered as the pitcher who gave up the most home runs to Lou Gehrig (15), including two grand slams.
