Lou Clinton was born on Wednesday, October 13, 1937, in Ponca City, Oklahoma and had an 8-year career from 1960-1967. Clinton was 22 years old when he broke into the big leagues on April 22, 1960, with the Boston Red Sox. Clinton was a good fielder with a strong and accurate throwing arm. He had 52 extra-base hits for the Red Sox in both 1962 and 1963, including 22 HR and 77 RBI in 1963. Lou Clinton also hit for the cycle on July 13, 1962.
