Scouting Report
- According to former Director of International Scouting Louie Eljaua, "Luis brings a special blend of talent and instincts every time he steps on the field. He has an advanced hitting approach at the plate for someone his age, and he is very athletic with above-average arm strength." Soto's swing is nearly flawless. However, Soto has failed to impress at the plate in any facet of hitting during his first four years in the organization. Decent fielder, worked as a shortstop prior to the 2005 season.
- Needs to improve BB%, K% and BB/K rate.
