History of the Lurker Dance Party
The infamous Lurker Dance Party animation was created by Muzzy Fielder in early September of 2007. It passed through several stages of evolution before reaching its final and current state. Below, I will list the stages of its evolution, even though nobody gives a fuck.
It began as a animated Gif of Jean Claude Van Damme inexplicably dancing that was posted numerous times in game threads for reasons now forgotten.
First, Muzzy replaced Van Damme's head with Manny's.
Next, Muzzy replaced everyone's head with someone with a Red Sox connection.
Finally, the animation was slowed down.
The faster version of the animation seems to be the most often used version.
