Scouting Report
- SoxProspects Scouting Report
- Deschenes throws a nice 92-mph fastball, as well as a split-finger fastball and a decent slider. A former U-Mass Lowell, shortstop, he was converted to a reliever after being drafted by Cleveland. Pitched very well for Portland in 2004. Life-long Red Sox fan.
