Michael Paul Benjamin (born November 22, 1965 in Euclid, OH), was primarily a short stop in the major league, for parts of 13 seasons. Benjamin played for the Sox from 1997 to 1998, and also saw time with the San Francisco Giants, Philadelphia Phillies, and Pittsburgh Pirates.

- Saturday, June 21st, 1997. Detroit: Capping off a 15–4 drubbing by the Tigers, Mike Benjamin pitches the 9th inning for the Red Sox. He retires all three batters he faces and is the only Red Sox pitcher not to allow a baserunner.
