Overall Career

"Hit Man" Mike Easler (born ),was traded to the Red Sox for John Tudor in 1984 to replace retiring DH Carl Yastrzemski. Easler had a stellar 1984 hitting .313 with 27 homeruns, but tailed off a bit in 1985. He was traded for Don Baylor prior to the 1986 season.

  • After his retirement, he managed the independent league team Miami Miracle in 1990. He was the hitting coach for the Milwaukee Brewers in 1992, the Boston Red Sox in 1993, and the St. Louis Cardinals from 1999-2001.
