Overall Career

Moment in the Sun

  • Pitched 6.2 awful innings for the Red Sox in 2005.
  • Tossed a complete game, three-hit shutout in his major league debut for the San Francisco Giants. [1]

Trivia

  • Did not have a mathematically definable ERA until his third outing with the Boston Red Sox as his first two outings yielded five runs scored, two earned while recording no outs. His third outing was on August 16, 2005 when he took the mound in the tenth inning in Detroit with a 10 - 3 lead. Three outs and four earned runs later, his ERA dropped to 54.00. The Boston Red Sox, being the sportsmen that they are, shook his hand in the post-game victory walkoff anyway.
