Rachel "Rac" Slider was a long-timer Manager and Coach in the Red Sox Minor League system. He was traded into the Red Sox system in 1962 and played for 2 seasons. Former Seattle Rainiers infielder (Red Sox Affiliate)

First managerial position was Harlan, KY in the Appalachian League in 1965. He also coached in Covington, Waterloo, Winter Haven, Greenville, Winston-Salem and Bristol before settling at Winter Haven from 1974-1981.
