Red Sox and Elizabethton

The Red Sox joined the nexly recreated Appalachian League in 1937, and won the first Regular Season title. They would, unfortunately, lose in the playoffs. In 1938, they would again win the Regular Season championship (despite losing 10 games for using an ineligible player), but would again lose in the first round of the playoffs. The Red Sox would finally break through with a Playoff victory in 1939, and would follow up with a second playoff championship in 1941. They would leave after the 1942 season.
