Travis Wade Hughes (born May 25, 1978 in Newton, Kansas) is a right-handed reliever currently pitching for the Pawtucket Red Sox. He was drafted in the 19th round of the 1997 Amateur Draft by the Texas Rangers.

Career Overview
Hughes was drafted by the Texas Rangers in 1997 and earned Texas League All-Star honors in 2002 while at Double-A Tulsa. He played at three different levels for the Rangers in 2004, going a combined 4-8 with a 4.28 ERA in 55 relief appearances at Double-A Frisco, Triple-A Oklahoma and Texas.
The Washington Nationals claimed Hughes off waivers on April 7, 2005. He appeared in a total of 22 games for Washington in 2005 and 2006. The bulk of his work in 2006 came at Triple-A New Orleans where he posted a career-best 2.32 ERA and struck out 87 batters in 73.2 innings pitched, an average of 10.6 strikeouts per 9 innings pitched.
The Boston Red Sox signed Hughes as a free agent on December 20, 2006 and invited him to spring training, where he pitched 3.2 scoreless innings in four outings. He is currently pitching at Triple-A Pawtucket.
Travis has pitched in a total of 24 major league games in his career to date, compiling a 1-1 record with a 6.31 ERA, 16 strikeouts and 16 walks in 25.2 innings pitched.
