How in the sam hell is that not a penalty and the other one was?

So done with the NFL after Bill and Tom retire. I won't lose a night's sleep over it.

I agree with Teddy. Bernard was crouched low and standing stationary. It was a nasty hit, but I don't see it as malicious.

I just don't know how this sport can be this sport if hits like that are illegal. I don't think he hits his head on purpose....it is so bang bang... But it is a grotesque hit and I don't want to watch that in a sport, either. It's like a Scylla and Charybdis situation
Exactly. This is in the unfortunate part of the game category but they can't and shouldn't try to remove that hit. I get that people are made about the BS flag earlier but they got this one right.

Guys do you remember the Ridley fumble in the 2012 season AFCCG? Sometimes helmet to helmet is not a penalty. This is one of those cases

Aren't there only two scenarios?

1) Does not become a runner, so pass is incomplete and the hit is a penalty.

2) Does become a runner, so completed pass with a fumble and the hit is not penalty.

How can they rule incomplete, but not a penalty?

The whole defenseless thing is bullshit. Total bullshit. If you hit someone in the face with your helmet it should be a penalty and ejection. Period. There's no justification for that. Sure, you might say "but what if it's an accident"? Too bad.

He dropped his head and hit with the crown of his head.

So, you can launch the crown of your helmet into a runner in the head with impunity? Seriously asking.
