There was plenty of concern last week about Gronk based on his participation at practice. Bill knows which guys need rest and which guys need reps this time of year. I am done being concerned based on Twitter reports during the week. The only value they provide is to stir us all up until the next report comes out.

Has anything come out about C Jones? I know there were some reports after the game, but there hasn't been anything since then.
From the stands I was 99% certain that Chandler Jones returned to the game and was in for the onside kick , lined up all the way on the right near the Pats bench but it was across the field so I'm not 100% positive.

Heard about the injury after the game (which I didn't notice during last KC drive) but can't find my game pass ID to confirm his presence on the hands team, but because of that play I'm not as worried about him as I am about his linebacker teammates.

Just noticed that the definitions of questionable and probable really invite game-playing. They say questionable is 50-50 and probable is "virtual certainty." So one is in quantitative terms and another is in qualitative terms, which really means for situations where the guy is likely to play but not certain (e.g., 70% or 80%) there is no literally correct answer so one cannot really be faulted for being wrong.

Just checked, looks like it was 85, Michael Williams

Oh yeah, duh, he's still on there. Guess not adding knee is a positive, but they might add that later in the week.

Per clause 49 of the CBA, under the umbrella of the Integrity of the Game, there are ABSOLTELY NO TAKESIE BACKSIES on the officially faxed injury report document.

Isn't BB's MO to not open injured guys to media interviews? He was there today (after Nink, iirc). Unless this happened between that and supper I give this a full one eyebrow raise.

Well, I hope he plays, because we're going to need someone to cover on the 7 KOs and catch the FU TD pass.

What jumps off the page for me on the Denver side is that Harris is listed as a full participant, *not* limited.
He was a full participant last week as well.

Never mind, looks like he was limited last week. Regardless, seems like the injury report/most injury talk is largely a joke at this point.

Interesting. Thanks for that. I found it striking that everyone on the Denver report was a full participant, so perhaps it simply should be chalked up to starkly contrasting approaches to the injury report.

Edit: or Harris' comments were all gamesmanship and he got healthy quickly...

It would be strange if he went 2 weeks of rest and was still in bad shape for the game then was fully ready to go 3 days after said game.

He hurt himself week 17 and his arm was dangling then, too. I have a hard time believing he played poorly and missed 25% of the snaps in a game they were losing with 7 minutes left on Sunday as some sort of act of deception looking ahead to NE.

Yeah, not going there either, Ed. Just curious that he is listed as a full participant. Suggests either (a) he's better (unlikely for the reasons you state), (b) the Broncos take a different approach to their injury report in general, or (c) shenanigans - they want the Patriots to think he's playing and gameplan accordingly.

He might have been a full participant because they didn't do anything that would hurt his shoulder. For all we know, it was a non-contact practice in shells or helmets only.

When do we get the x player was playing with a broken rib, etc. stuff? It's my favorite early end of season news.
It should be rolling out about any Pro Bowlers that don't want to play soon.

We could set up a pool about injuries that are about to be announced. I think I'd pick LaFell first. I can't believe his drop off can simply be attributed to an off year when you have Brady throwing.

Then again, the OL problems necessitated a quicker passing game, leaving fewer touches.

Mayo tore his pec again and had surgery. I had a horrible thought that he had injury guaranteed money again, but thankfully not in 2016. I wonder if he'll consider retirement at this point.

Good news, but I am actually kind of hoping he starts on PUP and misses the first 6-8 games so he doesn't have to face the wear and tear of 16 games
