Denial of a clear goal scoring opportunity. To a novice, can someone explain why that was a red card? He literally tapped him on the toe.
Denial of an obvious goal scoring opportunity by a foul -- even if just a common foul -- is always a sending off.To a novice, can someone explain why that was a red card? He literally tapped him on the toe.
Also, why isn't there an embellishing rule (is there one)?
Thank you.Denial of an obvious goal scoring opportunity by a foul -- even if just a common foul -- is always a sending off.
He´s sprinting 30+m, then he just got his foot swiped away before he could plant it.New It's a foul, but that was ridiculous simulation.
In that scene? OMGAnd yes, simulation is unsporting behavior and is to be be cautioned with a yellow card if the ref judges there was intent to deceive, but it rarely gets called where there actually was a foul (as opposed to attempts to deceive the ref into calling a non-foul a foul).
My point is more that there were other options that I'd be more comfortable with taking it. IIRC, Özil missed one or two for Arsenal this season.Meh the keeper guessed right - not like he skied it over or sent it wide
Few are, which is why I was so disappointed when my Polish blood brothers* stood toe to to with Germany, had the better chances, and didn't win.Slovakia just isn't close to Germany.
Hazard is amazingly talented and an epic ballhog.Hazard a bunch of highlight reel dribbles inside the box no end product while Lukaku sits there waiting for the ball.
...I don't think that is fair. Poland and Portugal are both very good sides. Poland gave Germany an absolute run for their money last week. In a knockout format either team could win a match against Belgium without it being a major disappointment IMO
