Bat to the noggin?Chapman will ultimately save Maddon from taking a bus back to Chicago
No way he's fired. You, sir, are correct. Maddon is a goner if Cubs lose. That fan base will destroy him and Theo if he doesn't fire him. Anyone recall a Cubs fan who tried to catch a foul ball?
Totally weird gam.e, And it isn't over yet either.Peak baseball weirdness.
He probably did, but he also probably had to to get to a Game 7. Would have been fun to watch this series with Salazar, Carrasco, and Brantley all healthy. For all the genius Bullpen-Tito talk, looks like he relied a little too much on Miller, (not that he had many choices).
If M Night Shaymalan grabbed it, it's going to have a really shitty twist at the end for the Cubs.Michael Bay and Jerry Bruckheimer refused this script
Who knows...he's got Salt in his veins I guess.Someone please explain to me what happened to Jon Lester's ability to field his position and throw to first? Did he get Chuck Knoblauch disease, or does he have a physical condition? Why are they not making a bigger deal about the fact that a major league pitcher can't do something most little leaguers can do?
Would have been over in 5 games. He probably did, but he also probably had to to get to a Game 7. Would have been fun to watch this series with Salazar, Carrasco, and Brantley all healthy.
Honestly, I think this is a best case scenario if you're rooting for the Cubs (assuming they do win) and hate Maddon. He isn't gonna get a ton of praise no matter what happens - that was too egregious of a mistake and when you combine it with what he did in Game 6...hopefully most people will give the players the credit.Ultimate troll job on SoSH - Maddon fucks up repeatedly, Cubs win anyways, Maddon felated all winter by media.
Ran out last night.Interesting that the Indians magical pitching runs out of fairy dust tonight. Twas bound to happen.
I don't believe that. I think he is genuinely making the moves he thinks gives the team the best chance to win. We can disagree with what he does, but there's no way he's being selfish here. If anything, it's the opposite. The pressure of trying to win for the Cubs after 100 plus years may be causing him to make hasty calls. That was such a classic Maddon move. He's smart, he's creative, but he's an over-manager, and when you come right down to it he'd rather be clever than good.
I believe this is right. Given to him by Middlebrooks.I thought it was blue wolf.
It really is strange. When did this happen? He's always been super particular about everything being just so, so the Ross thing isn't really news to me, but treating him like a Knoblauch on the mound makes his issues several orders of magnitude worse than I'd understood them to be. Its pretty damn weird.Someone please explain to me what happened to Jon Lester's ability to field his position and throw to first? Did he get Chuck Knoblauch disease, or does he have a physical condition? Why are they not making a bigger deal about the fact that a major league pitcher can't do something most little leaguers can do?

Much prefer it to Cleveland's "war whoops"Did Ross touch dicks with everyone after that Home run?!?!?
The Cubs have a weird way of celebrating.
