I don't know if it is a skill because it is a luck play, I'd credit the receivers more than anybody else. Cobb also pushed his man off to catch that ball but it is an accepted reality that you can do whatever you want in the end zone on a Hail Mary.
Yeah it evens out too since the front WR got mauled. I like no calls unless it's truly horrible.

Nobody gets more air under the ball than he does. It's one thing to get it to the endzone, it's another thing to basically punt it into the endzone, and Rodgers does the latter. It clearly matters.

There's the revenge Hail Mary from the 2011 playoffs when the Giants pulled one out of their asses vs Green Bay; outstanding....................

The Giants have straight up dominated this game and they're down 14-6. A fluke Hail Mary. Bad special team kicks. Two TDs dropped by WRs. Crazy.

BTW, the previous play Rodgers threw a pass over the middle that would have killed the half if it had been caught

Exactly, he definitely did a little push to get free, but can't flag that.

When this site is willing to ignore an obscenely small sample size and declare that AR has a magical skill at Haill Marys, how could you expect otherwise?
You do realize that small sample sizes can be statistically suggestive if they are enough of an outlier?

I mean Aaron Rodgers is really good he's one of the 3 best QBs in the league every year. He's far more deserving of announcer ballwashing than most who get it.

LOL, please state outright that Aaron Rodgers' Hail Mary success is "statistically suggestive," so I can laugh more heartily. Also, what's his exact success rate? I'll hang up and listen.

Has anyone said that? Rodgers does seem to be technically better at executing the Hail Mary pass than most; you've still got to get incredibly lucky from that point.
pretty much this. He seems to do a good job getting lots of air under it so it drops into the pile versus come in at an angle.

Not me. No one considers Eli the GOAT. People love to put Rodgers up on that pedestal these days.
That is my biggest issue (as a biased Pats fan). No sooner does Peyton retire then the NFL quickly makes Rodgers the GOAT. Whatever they can do to understate Brady's greatness.
The media loves to say it is BB, Brady cheats, he only throws short, etc.
That is why I don't enjoy the Rodgers ball washing.

How do punt return team players not know to treat the ball as radioactive once it hits the floor?

Don't see the issue. Aaron Rodgers is better at throwing Hail Mary's compared to other QBs. Is this really debatable? He's thrown them to Janis x2, Richard Rodgers and Randall Cobb.
