LOL, please state outright that Aaron Rodgers' Hail Mary success is "statistically suggestive," so I can laugh more heartily. Also, what's his exact success rate? I'll hang up and listen.
No, I am LOL'ing at you saying SSSs mean nothing no matter what. Do you think someone who pitches a perfect game is more or less likely than average to be a great pitcher, or someone who hits 4HRs in a game to be a great home run hitter?

That is my biggest issue (as a biased Pats fan). No sooner does Peyton retire then the NFL quickly makes Rodgers the GOAT. Whatever they can do to understate Brady's greatness.
The media loves to say it is BB, Brady cheats, he only throws short, etc.
That is why I don't enjoy the Rodgers ball washing.
Ah who cares. I'll take the four rings to Rodgers' one.

Who is understating Brady's greatness? Who?

Rodgers is playing a very good game. 30 other QBs in this League would have forced something by now and given the Giants at least one pick six.

McAdoo needs to pick a back and hope he gets a rhythm. Perkins' pass blocking has been good enough. Stop fucking with it and feed him.

How sensitive can you be as a TB12 fan?

He's pretty clearly the consensus GOAT, we don't need to tear down every other good QB that 2% of the media might annoint.

There is an argument for Joe Montana in Bill Walsh's West Coast offense. Tom's longer career might be a tiebreaker.
There is an argument if you don't adjust for the pass catching abilities of Craig and Rathman, don't adjust for the 49ers superior offensive line, and assume that Troy Brown and Julian Edelman were/are as good as Rice and Moss.

That was a great throw BTW, huge height and drops in the bucket makes it harder to slap down.

This makes logical sense, but the WR doesn't know the exact spot it's coming down to. If it's easy for a WR to spot and get underneath, why not a DB?

14 Giant rushing attempts (against 26 passes). You'd think they were averaging 2 yards, but they actually are averaging 4 per attempt.

Wasn't trying to be overly sensitive (I realize it came across that way). Just wanted to point out how annoying it was to have to listen to it.
Easy solution is just to change the channel.

It's not. I think if it's possible, the offense wants to put one guy behind the pack and one in front and hope for a misread/deflection/etc.

There are other great QB's in the league. If someone says Aaaron Rodgers is a great QB, they aren't disparaging Tom Brady.

Don't see the issue. Aaron Rodgers is better at throwing Hail Mary's compared to other QBs. Is this really debatable? He's thrown them to Janis x2, Richard Rodgers and Randall Cobb.
We're asking HOW he's so good.

Also didn't mean to single you out, since about 90% of us have slipped into that mode at some point in the last decade...

But Brady is well established as the greatest, at least for the time being.

I bet he tries the hard count again. I think they did this recently -- tried the hard count on third and short, took a time out, then came back and did it again and got it.

WRs are probably better at locating and catching the ball. Mostly the argument isn't that it's much easier for the WR, but that it is harder to just swat away because it's coming down instead of flat.
