Geez, if Atlanta doesn't get a TD here because they run out of time, and have to kick a field goal, they have nobody to blame but themselves. They wasted about 20-30 seconds they didn't need to waste by trying to conserve timeouts, and make sure they didn't give Rodgers any time.
Holy shit, Ryan has thrown over 30 passes in this half? How long until the NFL just doesn't involve running the football anymore?
Green Bay has blown about 5-6 chances in this game. So instead of a 17-10 game, they are down 24.
I think he had a foot down when he caught the ball as well - probably three feet in, not just two.
Good game everyone. Hopefully the Pats get a chance to see if they can do what very few teams have done this year.
Absolutely, but my point was more that, to that point, GB didn't have many issues moving the ball.
Now though, eh.
Falcons still looking pretty scary, but this game could look a lot different if GB was taking advantage of the miscues and getting the turnovers.
Only been ONE 24+ comeback at half in the playoffs. The 1993 Bills came back down 25 at the half to the Oilers, to win 41-38 in OT.
With no chance of covering anybody it looks like they're dropping everyone superdeep super fast. They don't need to, but they could dump it off for 8 yards at a time all night.
Given what we're seeing, the only chance was a 2006 AFCCG level shootout where a couple plays could swing the game in the end. Now we're in miracle territory. Tough to see Atlanta not scoring at least 10 more, which puts you at 5 touchdowns or bust.
Or if half the team weren't sick or injured. I wouldn't take too much away from this game. Atlanta is legit. We knew that. They won't score like this on us.
