The ACC being completely eliminated the first weekend isn't out of the realm of possibility.

Duke will be playing a true road game against South Carolina
Louisville is playing Michigan who appear to have picked up destiny after their plane crash
UNC's point guard is nicked up, and I could see them losing a track meet with inconsistent Britt and freshman Woods having to pick up some minutes at PG

Massive UVa choke job. Throwing up bricks and air balls all over the place. Pathetic. I'd be pissed if they weren't playing my other rooting interest and I didn't already have my tix for MSG next Friday.

Really enjoy Catalon and Lappas' call of these games. Wish they would get to do a regional together next weekend, but I am guessing they are not one of the four announce teams chosen for that honor.

As someone who has lived in both Columbia and Greenville, I'm not sure I buy this. Greenville is very much Clemson country. And Clemson fans hate SC. Granted, nobody in either town really gives any shits about basketball, only football. But you're far more likely to find Clemson fans in Greenville than SC fans (not that they don't exist; they're just outnumbered). And while Greenville is only about an hour and a half drive from Columbia, it's only about a 3 and a half hour drive from Durham. So it's not like Duke fans won't be making the trip as well.

Most people in Greenville are probably rooting for the players of both teams to spontaneously combust on the court.

That's a brutally terrible call in the Arizona-St. Mary's game. Dude gets shoved in the back and somehow has a foul called against him.

I originally thought like you did, but it was a very very very pro Gamecocks crowd Friday night, and if UNC would happen to win and their fans hang around to root against Duke, I think it would be about as hostile an environment as a highly-seeded team can face in the tournament.

Swanigan is just a great player to watch. He was so important to Purdue, it seemed like every play down the stretch ran through him. Watching him plus the Gonzaga bigs today was a great day for fans of post scoring, a dying art in today's game.

I don't know what Biggie is at the next level. He isn't athletic enough to be as dominant as he is in college, but at the very least I think he can be a good rebounding/effort guy, similar to Kyle O'Quinn. He is a good passer and has a nice outside touch so he has some versatility.
