I thought he was good, despite having to play to the left of Luisao. When Luisao was out in 2016, he lined up on the right with Jardel which is his preferred side. He was probably the team's fourth best player, but the other three (Semedo, Ederson, and Pizzi) had real standout seasons. He never showed that he could take free kicks until he scored a screamer vs Sporting.Vinho your opinion on Lindelof's year?
Yup, they are ridiculously stocked with young talent and could very well be the best international side in the world for the next decade. Being the best side and winning tournaments are two different things but still. How many good young French players are there? It's endless.
Not a shocker to me, he's represented by Raiola and the end of his Milan contract coincides with Buffon's announced retirement date.Did not see this coming - Gianluigi Donnarumma will not sign a new contract for AC Milan:
They're hacks, and so is Marca. But when Marca confirms A Bola, that tells me that both are getting this from Mendes. They're both not going to make up a story this big.Is A Bola reliable? The BBC has reported it now as well as the Times. They are usually pretty good.
Haha. I love transfer speculation like this. Too bad for me I'll be in a meeting for the rest of the day starting at 11. I think if Ronaldo goes he rebreaks the transfer record. The club who signs him immediately starts calling up current and potential sponsors about future deals. Is it safe to post? Is vinho done?
j/k.
It could be just PR from Ronaldo's camp. He is so outraged by the injustice of this baseless tax witch hunt that he'd be willing to leave Spain entirely!!!They're hacks, and so is Marca. I don't think this is about a new contract. He got one in November. I do believe that Ronaldo is angry over the tax issue and Real Madrid's lack of support. It's pretty clear that RM had been passively distancing themselves from him recently. Ronaldo isn't stupid and knows politics as much as production play on whether a player leaves RM.
CR7 yelling "I am above the law!" while squirting some hair product in his hand and spreading it into his sculpted coiffure is a striking visual image. I can totally see him being pissed at Spain for not being grateful for what he's done for Spain. And for being 2nd in the tax suit parade; he probably would have been a little more OK with it had he been charged before Messi. It could be just PR from Ronaldo's camp. Very Trumpian.
Ronaldo's future is sort of like the irresistible force versus the immovable object. On the one hand, he is one of the greatest players of all time and famously dedicated to his physical condition. On the other hand, he has played an ungodly number of minutes of first team football when you consider club plus internationals (about 68500) in his career. That is more than Totti, more than Ibra, more than Raul had when he left Madrid, almost as much as Xavi or Giggs (both of whom he'll pass next year). He is entering totally uncharted territory in this respect.
He played very well against Chile in the Confed Final. Looking like another solid signing by the Blues FML.Rüdiger(24) signs with Chelsea.
Transfer sum is 35-40mil.€, depending on add-on bonus. Contract until 2022.
Wow. I didnt imagine Real would send him to a side they're likely to face in the later stages of the Champions League.James Rodriguez to Bayern on a 2 year loan
Edit: sounds like an option to buy at the end of the loan

Coman's domestic violence incident probably also has a lot to do with it.At first glance, I didn't think this transfer made much sense. But, if Bayern is getting ready to move on from the Robben/Ribery era (which they should), this is an astute pickup. Add in the Douglas Costa sale and adding another high end offensive weapon was a must. Bayern do really smart business led by Rumenigge (I believe). Running circles around Barca management at the moment, but then again, so is every other major club.
Usually players on loan cannot play against the club loaning them out. I wonder if there's an contingency for that here.Wow. I didnt imagine Real would send him to a side they're likely to face in the later stages of the Champions League.
The Guardian confirms the option to buy, but no amount given. Also suggest Douglas Costa will be shipped to Juventus...further strengthening another Champuons League aspirant.
I know that's the case with season-long loans - is it also true with multiple year "loans" in which there is an obligation-to-buy clause (or even an option-to-buy)?Usually players on loan cannot play against the club loaning them out. I wonder if there's an contingency for that here.
I believe that's an English rule more than anything else. For example, I believe in Germany players can play against their parent club.Usually players on loan cannot play against the club loaning them out. I wonder if there's an contingency for that here.
This makes the most sense. I'm only familiar with it coming into play for Premier League or FA matches.I believe that's an English rule more than anything else. For example, I believe in Germany players can play against their parent club.
