Because they've never won in the playoffs?Maybe GS should learn to play hard all season so they can know how to play hard in the play offs

Brad has really spoiled us.This is all just awful - if this was the Celtics I’d be throwing things
I'm glad you thoroughly gave my opinion some serious thought. What a thought -- celts really going to miss Larkin if he doesn't come back (assuming celts make the finals)!
That seemed like they just didn't want to give the ball to GS and realized they hadn't called a foul and it was too late to do so.The inadvertent whistle on the blatant Harden travel was atrocious.
yea that was pretty universal the first go roundI'm glad you thoroughly gave my opinion some serious thought.
IMO they are playing pretty thin as is, and I wonder how a 7-man rotation, and one pretty inexperienced is going to hold up against either one of these teams if they advance to the Finals as a road underdog.
You are free to think I'm full of shit.
GO CELTS!
What do you think if Houston wins and Paul is out?I'm glad you thoroughly gave my opinion some serious thought.

The Rockets have 1 regular rotation player under 28 (Capella)Go Celts.
But they also were running a short bench even before your comment. If Paul is out, (his injury was after I made my comments) its a huge series changer in this series.
And the Celts match-up a lot better against the Rockets than they do against GS IN A SERIES.
Brad cut his rotation to 7 against the Cavs, who pretty much have no depth. But they also were running a short bench even before your comment.
Yeah.. that's the whole point.. Houston hasn't had any depth either, have they? I get GS, but Houston is playing fewer players too.Brad cut his rotation to 7 against the Cavs, who pretty much have no depth.
IMO both these teams are deeper and will present additional problems to the Celts. If the Celts get into foul trouble or fatigued IMO they're fucked.
Lets cross that bridge first.
Well, if I die. On top of the key....Well I been up all night leaning on the window sill...
That was 1 game, Brad did that.Brad cut his rotation to 7 against the Cavs, who pretty much have no depth.

And if I don't make it, you know Ariza will.Well, if I die. On top of the key....
Rockets played 7 guys tonight. Tucker and Ariza played 42 minutes each, Harden 38, Paul 37.Yeah.. that's the whole point.. Houston hasn't had any depth either, have they? I get GS, but Houston is playing fewer players too.
I know they ended up missing anyways but I'd be LIVIDThe inadvertent whistle on the blatant Harden travel was atrocious.
Yes. Yes. YESSSSSS. Poor KDDurant did not have a good game. 29 points on 22 shots, only 4 reb, 0 assists, only 1 block with 0 steals, and really hurt the flow of the offense. You could tell Kerr was getting pissed at him.
Those seconds were still important regardlessI know they ended up missing anyways but I'd be LIVID
Tired legsHarden has hit the front rim on like 75% of his jumpers tonight.
I don't think it's the latter. Kerr expressed the same optimism using some of the exact same words during his sideline interview after the first quarter when the Warriors had just finished sucking out loud and CP3 was still healthy.Kerr just said he feels "great" about where things stand. Said it might sound crazy but they just need to cut down on turnovers and foul less but otherwise said something like "I know what I see." Can't tell if he's trying to encourage his guys or uncharacteristically calling his shot. Maybe the latter because he suspects Paul is done.
He wasn't limping too bad on his way to the locker roomPaul has that “I’m done for series” look...
AbsolutelyI mean if I could pick a player who I’d like to see embarrassingly fumble away a game...
New to the NBA?With a lot of these late game calls I feel like the refs are just making stuff up. At points they're saying it with so much authority that it feels like they're obviously lying.
Who did? Aaron Gordon? Who else?Durant did not have a good game.
It's not just the foul calls.. there were some very odd stoppages in play where they basically said with some authority that something happened which very clearly didn't.New to the NBA?
But he wasn't exactly jogging either. He wasn't limping too bad on his way to the locker room
Is everyone exhausted in game 5 at this point other than Tatum? The end of the Celtics game was brutal with front rim tired arms. I don't remember the game of attrition setting in so early in past years playoffsWho did? Aaron Gordon? Who else?
Maybe it’s like baseball - with the crackdown on PEDS, the game has shifted back to younger players and that why the C’s are thriving.Which is funny because they extended the regular season out quite a bit this year to help fight fatigue.
I can't figure out how to paste it here but according to the ESPN shot chart (can find it here: http://www.espn.com.au/nba/playbyplay?gameId=401032765), Harden didn't make one shot other than a layup. And HOU still won. Wow.Well, there's no way they steal a game at GS if Harden doesn't figure out where his jump shot went. I think they said he's now missed 20 straight three pointers.
Paul and Harden combined to shoot 11 of 40 tonight. Add Gordon and it was 17 of 55. And they won.
It's deep in the playoffs, there is no saving legs for later in the year......everyone has a short rotation. If you're playing more than 7 than there is more than likely a problem with your top-7. Even the 7th guy shouldn't play much given an optimal scenario. What do you think if Houston wins and Paul is out?
Edit: I can see it with GS but I'd like to know what your thought process is with Houston given they have a short rotation too.
I attribute this to players exerting more energy than ever on the defensive end in halfcourt sets. Between the defensive focus and the energy exerted creating an offensive shot you're seeing a much different game played now compared to the regular season. The intensity level of these games is off the charts which is making getting off a quality shot extremely challenging. Is everyone exhausted in game 5 at this point other than Tatum? The end of the Celtics game was brutal with front rim tired arms. I don't remember the game of attrition setting in so early in past years playoffs
Took tons of contested shots. Didn't even look for an outlet.Durant did not have a good game. 29 points on 22 shots, only 4 reb, 0 assists, only 1 block with 0 steals, and really hurt the flow of the offense. You could tell Kerr was getting pissed at him.

I think the difference is that GSW and Cleveland had an easy time reaching the finals last year.Is everyone exhausted in game 5 at this point other than Tatum? For the non-Warriors fan, GSOM is a must-read after Warrior losses. The responses range from very thoughtful to apocalyptic. Just don't try to post any snarky comments; GSOM is a "safe space" for Warrior fans, and warnings and bans are handed out like candy.Common take on Golden State of Mind: "this series would be over right now if we had Brad Stevens."
I sat in disbelief most of the second half as the Warriors continued to defer to KD on offense and he provided very little.Took tons of contested shots. Didn't even look for an outlet.
KD is not a great passer, and the Houston defense has gotten very good at sending help at him at just the right time. KD is not reading it well and hasn't figured out how to pass out of it (this would never work against LeBron, who would make the right pass). This is made easier with Iguodala out -- his minutes are going to Looney, Bell, and Livingston and none of those guys are good shooters, so Houston can leave them unguarded on the weakside and send their man to help on Durant.I sat in disbelief most of the second half as the Warriors continued to defer to KD on offense and he provided very little.
Agree with this. Also for guys like Harden and Cuury, they are being attacked dozens of time a game. It is incredibly hard to play both ends of the floor at a high level for thirty, forty minutes per game. It's no wonder the teams are exhausted.I attribute this to players exerting more energy than ever on the defensive end in halfcourt sets.
