Machado should get traded between innings and re-enter the game as a Dodger

Too bad this no long determines home field for the World Series, only because it would be sweet to see Machado win it for the AL and then immediately join a NL contender… or conversely, he could make a crucial error and then rip off his jersey to show a Dodgers jersey underneath, pro wrestling heel style.

The west coast gets screwed for the all star game. I can't remember the last all star game that I didn't have to drive home from work during the key middle innings. It should start at 9:00 east coast time.

I keep having a strong feeling that tonight is going to be a continuation of the Mookie Betts Show and he does something special and really makes a statement on the National stage...I hope that turns out to be right...

Start the damn game, after the intros of course. You need to leave work early once in awhile, my friend.

I mean, I get if the argument was against a playoff game, but it’s the All Star game. Record it and just catch up when you get home. It’s not like you can’t avoid spoilers, no one cares enough to be talking about it.

It would be nice to see him get the car for MVP

I don't think the "Mike Trout is the greatest player in the world" narrative is nearly as obvious as these announcers would have us believe.

I usually can but it's been several years in a row with the all star game where I just can't escape until about 6 or so.

I'm going to have to make another All-Star break trip to Cooperstown in the next couple of years. I took my then 16-yr-old nephew to the Hall of Fame in 2011, and we watched the game from the theater with ballpark food, between innings trivia and door prizes. It remains the only All-Star game I've cared about in the last 20+ years. I highly recommend it to anyone planning on visiting the HoF in the summer, outside of induction weekend.

Joe Buck missed a golden opportunity.

"From the Baltimore Orioles" should have been followed by "to the Los Angeles Dodgers"

missed the first few seconds from commercial . What's the deal with the retired army people being introduced?

Nice work by Fox to ignore the flyover as they hurried to commercial.

I think it was all services (there was at least one Navy guy). Probably the Washington DC venue had a lot to do with it. Why not celebrate them? We’re running out of WWII vets, for example.

I am guessing that you are referring to the pre-game introduction of 29 Medal of Honor recipients.

Nice to see Mookie finally getting relatively equal love to Judge in these promotions. Nothing will ever surpass that Sunday Night game from last year though when they talked about him for the entire game...in Boston...

umm those 'retired army people', were, in fact all Congressional Medal of Honor recipients, from all services
Yeah, they weren’t just random retired military - they were Medal of Honor recipients.
You guys best be ready for his follow-up question about what is a Medal of Honor
