Holy shit I knew I recognized the picture. I eat there at least twice a year. My favorite restaurant too.
You two need to stop jerking each other off about how great this restaurant is

A list of only 200 people at a random, non-high end place and they got Kraft plus someone bigger? Odds of that seem small. I wonder if Kraft and/or the other guy being there is what drew attention to the place.
It's that the zip code is high end that yields the big fish in the net.

It is quite a nice part of Florida. I like it a bit north of there but I'm a family man.
Those women must be great grapplers. Can you imagine the hand strength?

My stepdad lives in Boca half the year. It’s okay down there. Kind of bland and dull.

I have non lawyer friends, I think.
Just busting balls as I thought you literally meant ‘waking up’, since it broke at like noon...

Edit: lol didn’t see your reply to snowmanny. I was on vaca last week, they let me roll over a week and said ‘just don’t tell HR’. I just can’t sleep past 9 anymore without a Xanax.

Oh yeah no I got up at 2 today. See above. Vacationing.

Black twitter thinks Kraft got busted because he’s helping Meek and Jay with the Reform coalition. Seems very dubious, but it’s hilarious that RK has cred.

Even if you're not running the massage parlor or trafficking, Kraft and other "customers" know that if they have an accent there may be a good chance they are here illegally and by paying money to these women you are helping human trafficking and are almost as guilty as the parlor owners and the traffickers. Kraft does know this.

It's quite a leap to go from "they have an accent" to "they must be here illegally" and one hell of a leap to go from "they have an accent" to "they must have been trafficked here."

Yup. Especially because there’s a visa specifically for people with extraordinary skills and talents, and if making a grown man cum in under 4 minutes using just your hand isn’t an extraordinary skill or talent I don’t know what is.

Kraft just upped his street cred.
No. He did not.

I love what Kraft has done with the Patriots franchise but this is a bad look all the way around.

Because these guys usually last, what, 4-1/2 minutes?
5? Kraft probably gets a hard-on whenever anyone mentions ‘two minute drill’.

Usually Eastern European or Asian women is where most of them come from when they are brought here illegally for sex trafficking. That's what I meant. My point is a customer must be completely naive if he doesn't know that some of these women are forced into this. And you are contributing to the problem by paying them for sex or a happy ending.

Of course he did. He has t-shirts to sell. No one takes him 100% serious.

Serious question: why does the NFL, or any sports league, need to have a personal conduct clause anyway? If someone breaks a law that has nothing to do with football, let the appropriate non-football authorities deal with it. Why should a person get punished twice for the same crime?

Is there any way of knowing, even in just a general sense, the percentage of sex workers who are, for lack of a better term, willing, and those who are victims of sex trafficking?

Because a person’s behavior can do damage to the brand.
I have a conduct clause in my contract too. I don’t think it’s that unusual, is it?

Percentage of sex workers in general or percentage of women giving $100 hand jobs all day in a mall in a foreign country?

Probably that people born in the 90's (or later) are using Tinder or whatever for this.

And, um, that people born in the 70's are too classy, or something?
People born in the 70's have young kids, and are too tired to even think about getting a handy in a massage parlor. The 40's suck.

Ok, so I guess that is better than Yelp would have been.

The phrase "this continued for several minutes" in that police report just made me laugh for a full 30 seconds. The paragraph break before it is just
amazing.
Hahaha...yeah, I meant to reply to you earlier and say that they’re probably feeling just fine about their choice of domain name ;)

Well if Kraft can't even reasonably say that he couldn't know they were slaves then this whole thing is a lot worse than just a handy.

Yeah, I don’t see how this is complicated. I don’t even have a conduct clause and I’m about 1% as impactful as any professional athlete (Christ, I sell mayo and French fries for a living now) but I’m pretty sure if I got into even regional press for soliciting I’d be told I’m let go. These guys are lucky they get a suspension and fine.

I have two solid jokes in this thread with no props. I'm about to go Bill Burr in Philly. Or go to bed. One of those two things for sure.

Yeah these conduct clauses aren't about keeping owners, players, or coaches down. It's about being damn transparent that any behavior that causes the league to lose money is likely going to be dealt with by whatever means necessary, because public perception affects the bottom line.

The various legal documents call out a bunch of very specific behaviors, like recreational and performance enhancing drugs. Everything else that just makes the league look bad is covered under that shit.

They can't call out every possible permutation like "don't show up on Dick Clark's New Year's show wearing an SS uniform".

A Scud Away from Hell
Michael McCann on Kraft's possible legal challenges & defenses:

https://t.co/IDGoLumwTV

The fact that Kraft, if convicted, would be a “first-time offender” and the fact that he lacks any criminal history would be two factors that weigh strongly in his favor during sentencing. The 77-year-old billionaire’s advanced age could also sway a judge to not impose any jail sentence. If Kraft has any health issues that might be worsened by incarceration, that too would work in his favor during sentencing.

Two penalties for a solicitation conviction are required: the convicted person must perform 100 hours of community service; and pay for, and attend, an educational program about the negative effects of prostitution and human trafficking.

...

If Kraft admits to wrongdoing or is found guilty of wrongdoing the mostly likely NFL outcome is that he is suspended and/or fined. It’s also possible Kraft could temporarily or even permanently lose his membership on influential NFL committees.

As to possible loss of draft picks for the Patriots over Kraft’s alleged misconduct, don’t expect that to happen. Article VIII contemplates the loss of draft picks as suitable when misconduct “affects the competitive aspects of the game.” Personal misbehavior by an owner is unrelated to the competitive aspects of the game.

Based on the volume of men these women were forced to service and the length of the investigation, why were only 200 men named?

Do we know it wasn’t meant to affect competitive aspects of the game? Didn’t LT used to send hookers to opponent’s hotel rooms before games?

Maybe Kraft is scouting an army of 4 min hj experts for the same purpose.

I'll set aside all of the juvenile thoughts I'm having for a minute. As horrible as this incident is in total when you look at the element of human sex trafficking, Kraft's biggest punishment in all of this is the embarrassment, shame and ridicule that he's brought on himself and his franchise. He'll claim ignorance to the trafficking aspect of this and unless he's implicated as someone who had a part in organizing this ring, the charges won't be anything more than what we know them to be at this time. I seriously doubt that he see's the inside of a jail cell and he can easily afford whatever fines are levied against him by the courts and the NFL. His community service will likely be something that he won't even have to physically attend, I can't see suspension (if any) being more than what Irsay got and I don't know that it's yet been mentioned, but there's a chance that the charges get dropped. For the sake of the franchise, perhaps he relinquishes all control of the team to his family, but IMO that's likely to come from within the organization and not imposed by the league.

Can't see the police dropping the charges if only because they literally have him on tape. But yes no jail time.

I wonder if the video will leak?
