RedSox and Yankees will be in London next year on June 29-30.

I ended up getting 1 to go with the 2 from Monday. I kind of need 2 more, might have to head to StubHub.

TM is a clown-show. Made it to the payment page 2x with 3 seats early on today only to get bounced.

Thanks, I tried again and there are still tickets left but only single tickets at 185+ pounds, and I wanted two in the 65-80 pound range.

I love this though on the tmuk page:

"A baseball game takes on average around 3 hours"
Basebal game, maybe. Red Sox Yankees, we'll see.

Managed to grab a single and "only" pay about $200 for it, but at least I'm in the park on Sunday. Still hoping my UK Baseball connection comes through for Saturday tickets, but while he still thinks it'll work out he has described MLB as "being a bit arsehole about everything".

It must be fun watching a game in another country to see how the locals react to the different kinds of plays during the game, what they do (if anything besides walk into the stadium) pregame, etc. Any strong rivalry banter, or arguments between rival fans like you see in Boston or New York? Fight! Envy you guys going.

I went to see an English Premier League match when I went over to London two years ago for this exact reason. It was a blast watching and interacting with the locals, and this coming from someone who would care not one iota if soccer were to disappear from the face of the Earth tomorrow.

I did this in Rio de Janeiro for a Flamenco match a few years ago, there was a bad penalty call against the home team, and suddenly the upper deck of the Maracana had a bunch of flares get lit up and thrown willy-nilly. Shit was literally on fire, and everyone acted like it was all normal and the cops in riot gear were just another part of the drama.

Sometimes you don't gotta be there.

If it ends up anything like the NFL games here, there'll be little to no rivalry between fans. The atmosphere is likely to be more neutral with fans of all 30 MLB teams in attendance. They'll be going for the experience of watching a live baseball game more than anything.

Their reaction might be, “Really, mate? They’ve won 27 bloody championships.” But you could certainly give it a try.

This was a disaster. 4 days of trying, no tickets. Ticketmaster is a disgrace. I was fuming behind my computer.
My mom lives over there. Had 2 computers going, 1 for each day and phone for MANY hours and got nothing. Ended up with 4 on Sunday through Stubhub for 1200 Quid total. Think it is OF seats.

My wife was up at 5am on Monday, apparently Ticketmaster was such a cluster that the site crashed and by the time she could access tickets, most were gone and some were already on StubHub. We did luck out on Ticketmaster and got 4 tickets in the nosebleeds for the Sunday game.

That is what I was thinking. Might as well get ripped by StubHub than the airlines. We have 3 of the 5 we need so we are going regardless but I'd like to put this behind me once and for all.

Interesting note...both teams will wear their home whites in this series even though the Sox are designated as the home team. Guess the pinstripes are super important to the game's international appeal.

Any thoughts on how the secondary market is going to shake out for this? I guess what I'm asking is whether the price of StubHub tickets will stay the same, or go up or down as the series gets closer.

Since MLB wants the pinstripes on display, they should have taken 2 Yankee home games and moved them overseas, rather than 2 Red Sox home games.

Got a mail today, for those yet without tickets.

2019 is going to be a huge year for Major League Baseball and we will be pitching the very latest news to your inbox as we get ready to witness the old rivalry between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees on new ground at London Stadium.

First off, we have some very important news to share on tickets. Due to a change in capacity at London Stadium we will be releasing 5,000 more tickets across the June 29 and 30 games. Yes, our unique ball park just got bigger and better!

Here's the important stuff you will need to know:
  1. Tickets will go on sale on Thursday, April 11 10:00am BST / 05:00am EST
  2. Tickets will be available in categories 6 (£120*) to 10 (£30*)
  3. You will receive a link to access ticket sales 48 hrs prior to tickets going on-sale
We do expect high demand for these tickets and there is limited availability so advise you set-up your Ticketmaster UK account today to give you the best possible opportunity to purchase tickets.

So, um, goes without saying, but would be awesome if that "link to access ticket sales" could get posted here, if it's not account-specific.

My work schedule will not allow for me to attend. I have two tickets to both games for those interested. Section 213 row 63. Let me know if you’re interested via PM. Will also be posting in the Ticket Swap forum.

This sucks. Not only do they have to give up both home games (seemingly because their owner owns a team in another sport elsewhere in the country) but they have to face increased injury risk
What's to stop Cora from keeping Mookie and Xander in MA to rest? (And keep Jd as DH)
Is this wild-ass speculation, or do you have a link?

Anyone able to print their tickets yet? When I log into tickmaster UK and click on print tickets, I receive a message "Your tickets aren't quite ready to print yet . . ." There's a message on the top that reads, "These tickets need to be printed."

Maybe Cora will think the team *cough* needs the wins this year?

Also, it sounds like his boss’s boss had something to do with this so he probably won’t want to piss on the game.

They already play 20+ games per year on turf so does it really matter much with respect to injury risk to add 2 more? Concern about this seems unwarranted to me.

Just received some Royal Mail with my commemorative ticket inside. Glad they didn't wait as long as they said they might to get these out, I didn't want to be sweating this out leading up to the trip since we're heading out early that week.

They mailed you your ticket? Ticketmaster tells me I’m supposed to print mine. If it’s in the mail, I won’t get it for another couple weeks.

I ordered the commemorative ticket, so my situation is different. I bought e-tix off StubHub for the game and those won't be given to me until sometime in June.

Oh. Where did you order the commemorative ticket?
When I made the original purchase through Ticketmaster UK, there was a £5 add-on option to get a commemorative ticket. I was expecting some cool ornately decorated ticket, but instead it just looks like a security badge, like one of these:

At least it came with a strap to put around my neck?
