So who sits tonight? They have 15 healthy forwards and nine healthy defenseman on the roster. I’m assuming Halak gets both games.

I’m assuming Bergeron, Krejci, and Marchand would sit for the forwards, but they might not want to sit Bergeron and Krejci in the same game. On D, Chara is the obvious choice to sit but he’ll tell Cassidy no and play anyway. So probably Krug, Carlo, McAvoy?

Cassidy said Wagner is definitely out, but they hadn’t made decisions on anyone else yet. We’ll see at the skate today.

If Heinen is able to play, they would be able to have 2 forwards sit. I’d guess one of Krejci and Bergeron sit tonight since they brought up Frederic. Krejci has a chance at playing all 82 which I know is a big deal for the players, and has a chance at a career high in points. I’d sit him for one of these games anyways. Bergy blocked a shot the other night but practiced yesterday anyways. I think they’ll probably handle it where one guy sits tonight and the other sits Saturday. I’d also sit Marchand if Heinen can go.

On D, they have Kampfer and Clifton as the spares to plug in. Grz, Krug and Miller are just back from injury so I think they all play unless they are dealing with some lingering effects. That means they can sit 2 of Chara, McAvoy and Carlo. I’d probably sit Chara and Carlo tonight. Then let Chara play 2 minutes on Saturday as a tune up.

Miller narrowly avoided a similar crash Tuesday. I thought at first that his right leg gave out bit before he hit the wall.

I should know this.....and I can't seem to find it, but IIRC, matching minors sometimes lead to 4 on 4, and sometimes don't.
What's the rule....or am I just confused with an era gone by?

For real.

First NHL goal is a first NHL goal...but an empty netter, too funny. Pretty cool of Butch to have him out there though, huh?

Based solely on that debut, I'm considering finding a way to order a Senyshyn nameplate for my Seguin jersey

Also, the fact that the NHL pays for the parents to attend everyone's first game is one of the best marketing ideas ever.

Edit: that's why there's so many videos of hockey parents in various stages losing their shit that their kid scored an NHL goal.

Well deserved with the ENG - hope he’s one of the first up on the shuttle next year
Shit he might make the team. If the third line was Coyle with Kuhlman and Senyshyn next year that wouldn’t be the worst thing cap wise with raises due for McAvoy and Carlo.

I didn’t know they did that. That’s awesome.
