Brutal.Indiana's Bojan Bogdanovic has agreed to a four-year, $73M deal with the Utah Jazz, league sources tells EPN
From Woj...
That's another cap-killer!
Yeah, the team clearly likes Jaylen, Jayson, and Smart. Everything this summer seems to have been done with the goal of not messing with that.Guess we're not trading them Jaylen.
Or, for that matter, whether the Kyrie deal with the Nets is announcedHave we had any additional word on if the S&T for Rozier actually happened?
Eh?Brogdon and Lamb to Indy. 5-seed, here comes the Celtics.
Perhaps they're still working out the details...Or, for that matter, whether the Kyrie deal with the Nets is announced
I heard they DM like KD and Broussard, but no texting (again like KD and Broussard). So is Hayward friends with Brogdon?
wow, that's less than I thought he'd getWoj:
Thomas Bryant has agreed to a three-year, $25M deal to return to the Washington Wizards, agent Todd Ramasar (@tramasar) tells ESPN.
The Lakers cut him a year ago. too funnywow, that's less than I thought he'd get
MLE targets diminishing...Woj:

What will Favors go for? Utah has to renounce him to sign Bojan.MLE targets diminishing...
His reasons were that the Nets weren't getting enough back (meaning fist round picks from Boston). He also thinks Al will not be back with Boston.Per Marks 3 team deal is dead. Straight sign and trade with Charlotte.
So, does this hard cap us, Charlotte, or both. And if it does, then for how long?Per Marks 3 team deal is dead. Straight sign and trade with Charlotte.
How does the deal work without Kyrie’s money going out on the Boston end?Per Marks 3 team deal is dead. Straight sign and trade with Charlotte.
That was a rough TV appearance from Marks.Per Marks 3 team deal is dead. Straight sign and trade with Charlotte.
Teams acquiring players in a S&T are hard capped. So, does this hard cap us, Charlotte, or both. And if it does, then for how long?
Celtics can take Kemba into cap space can't they? It just means they are operating as a below the cap team. That was a rough TV appearance from Marks.
How would a straight sign and trade work with Charlotte?
Rozier will count at around 9-10 going out depending upon how his deal is structured, and Kemba is 32.7 coming in.
Math doesn't come close to working unless they have a sign and trade with Horford going elsewhere.
That felt a bit like Marks negotiating for Brooklyn.
Right, at 6MM ish above the tax line, which still leaves some room to work with.Teams acquiring players in a S&T are hard capped.

Right, but Marks is saying the Rozier S&T is still on, which makes no sense in that scenario.Celtics can take Kemba into cap space can't they? It just means they are operating as a below the cap team.
As lovegtm said, yes they can. But that doesn't make sense for Boston unless Charlotte is sending Boston something else they want. The whole point to doing a sign and trade for Kemba is to operate as an over the cap team.Celtics can take Kemba into cap space can't they? It just means they are operating as a below the cap team.
It would create the full MLE plus room exception plus possibly a trade exception. Still a lot to work with.Right, but Marks is saying the Rozier S&T is still on, which makes no sense in that scenario.
yes it does, for Charlotte.Right, but Marks is saying the Rozier S&T is still on, which makes no sense in that scenario.
No, it wouldn't.It would create the full MLE plus room exception plus possibly a trade exception. Still a lot to work with.
I know that, but I assume the suggestion is that with the Nets out there is no better option for Celtics than to do the above and get something from Charlotte. As lovegtm said, yes they can. But that doesn't make sense for Boston unless Charlotte is sending Boston something else they want. The whole point to doing a sign and trade for Kemba is to operate as an over the cap team.

5/180 for Tobias Harris
So, unless they lose Butler, I don't think they can fit Horford.https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1145469498234982401
5/180 for Tobias Harris
Sorry meant to say full MLE and bi annual according to Nick Cattles. No, it wouldn't.
If you use cap space for Kemba you have to renounce your exceptions other than the room exception.
we have a winnerhttps://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1145469498234982401
5/180 for Tobias Harris
That's a guess based on info from earlier, but it said they'd likely have to lose 2 of the 3 (Reddick, Harris, Butler) to create space for Horford unless he takes some under market offer.Does that kill the space they needed to sign Al??
Edit: thanks Drew
