where I was last at
With the list of teams narrowing can we assume the 4/112 rumored deal for Al, was just agent's smoke?

or was there a real bidder for Al?

or are the Celts still a possibility?

Have we had any additional word on if the S&T for Rozier actually happened?

The Pacers moved off Rubio because they've got a sign-and-trade with Milwaukee to acquire Malcolm Brogdon ... with @espn reporting Brogdon lands a five-year, $85 million deal

I feared earlier that if KD went to Nets the 3-team would die. That appears unfortunately to be exactly what happened---Nets did not not want to empower a competitor.

He did suggest that the deal could come back if the draft comp goes up, and he said Boston could make "one last pitch"

That's what she said.
Per Marks 3 team deal is dead. Straight sign and trade with Charlotte.
So, does this hard cap us, Charlotte, or both. And if it does, then for how long?

Marks seemed off, maybe must exhausted. Nicholes tried to get more info from him about that, but he didn't give what he should have, the hard cap notes.

That was a rough TV appearance from Marks.

How would a straight sign and trade work with Charlotte?

Rozier will count at around 9-10 going out depending upon how his deal is structured, and Kemba is 32.7 coming in.

Math doesn't come close to working unless they have a sign and trade with Horford going elsewhere.

That felt a bit like Marks negotiating for Brooklyn.

Celtics can take Kemba into cap space can't they? It just means they are operating as a below the cap team.

As lovegtm said, yes they can. But that doesn't make sense for Boston unless Charlotte is sending Boston something else they want. The whole point to doing a sign and trade for Kemba is to operate as an over the cap team.

Right, but Marks is saying the Rozier S&T is still on, which makes no sense in that scenario.
yes it does, for Charlotte.

From Albert Nahmad:

Even if 3-team variant (incl. Nets) dies, Celtics and Hornets could still execute two-team S&T, where Celtics take Kemba Walker ($32.7M) into cap room and Hornets acquire Terry Rozier ($17.9M) in trade-match to BYC-adjusted salary of Walker ($16.4M). (CHA to compensate BOS?)

Yeah there is something missing with the reporting at the moment. The Rozier/Kemba swap is either a straight signing by both teams, or there is another shoe to fall.

I know that, but I assume the suggestion is that with the Nets out there is no better option for Celtics than to do the above and get something from Charlotte.

I think everyone is just guessing on this until we know what Horford and Morris do though, aren't we? The teams who get those guys could also enter the picture.

Yikes...Tobias Harris 5/$180 back to Sixers. I do not like that contract, though I do like the fit in Philly.

Also would be consistent with Butler going elsewhere staying open as a possibility, I think----do not believe Philly would have ended up without either of them

Does that kill the space they needed to sign Al??

Edit: thanks Drew
That's a guess based on info from earlier, but it said they'd likely have to lose 2 of the 3 (Reddick, Harris, Butler) to create space for Horford unless he takes some under market offer.
