Agreed. I don't think it impacted the play it all as Morgan already lost the ball, but the play was clearly dangerous. Hope that doesn't decide it.
With the rules where 1 foot can come off the line but the other has to stay on, if you can read which leg she's going to step forward with, you can just pass it behind the plant leg and the keeper has no chance.

It was a PK earned by Morgan. Glad she slotted it in, but come on now...Rapinoe hasn't been herself today.
it was really minimal contact on replay, if anything I was impressed they didn't call it live as it looked bad from one angle, but on replay they barely touched (also probably didn't help that Morgan has been throwing herself to the ground all day)
This goes to show how silly the Golden Boot can be. Who will win it, the player with 6 goals who got 5 of them in a 13-0 blowout, or the player that has 3 penalties in her 6 goals?

So this is what I was talking about on why the park the bus strategy was good. The penalty made NED open it up and now the pace of the USWNT is just gonna shred Van de Gagt and company at the back
