Anyone else watching UNLV-Fresno State?

Fresno just executed the jet sweep as well as I’ve ever seen it done.

Help me understand this Miami turnover chain tradition — on a fumble, does the chain go to the guy who forced it or the guy who recovered it?

Illinois down 23-21 with the ball at the Wiscy 40, less than a minute to go. Illini were a 30-point underdog.

Florida v. South Carolina is a good game. Wisconsin v. Illinois isn't bad either.
Nice call on this. There were a few underdogs hanging around when you posted this, but the others have fallen off. The Illini have not.

Miami’s kicking game is a shitshow. Three kicks of less than 35 yards missed today. If they lose to GT, that’s why.

Crazy ending in Miami. Correct call, but 2 or 3 inches is well within the margin of error even on a replay-assisted spot.

New York City
Mich 4th and 1 at PSU 45. They punt. It goes in the end zone. They gained 25 yards and gave up the ball. What a turd.

Boise State misses Bachmeier. Tough to go on the road to BYU and win with a backup QB.

15 yard penalty for shushing the crowd. Sheesh.

Appalachian State might have a chance for a New Years 6 Bowl.

BYU gets a 4th down conversion deep in their own territory for the win

Linesman almost decided the game on the play before. As the previous series started with a kickoff into the endzone. Ball spots automatically on the 25. 3 plays run, ball is spotted 4 inches short of 35 yard line, they bring out the chains, and it shows first down (inexplicable). Anyway they challenge to spot, and it is moved back, then BYU gets the 4th down conversion.

I never got a good look at the second down play that got spotted short that lead to the 3rs and 4th down drama. Live I thought he made the first but didn’t see a replay.

I think you might be right, I never went back to it, but I remember thinking at the time, that it was the worst possible thing that could happen to BSU in that situation (him being marked short on 2nd)

So this was the difference in the game? Nice coverage
Michigan played one on one coverage almost all game and got away (for most of the second half) with it either because their pass rush got there or PSU's QB missed on his throws. On that particular play Michigan was caught with a safety on PSU's no. 1 receiver.. and he's really fast.

yeah the WR, Hamler, has like Tyreek Hill-level speed. That screenshot shows him having already caught the ball and the CB pull up, knowing he's beaten. The actual coverage wasn't piss-poor or blown, he was beat by a few steps, but Clifford (who's no world-beater as QB) absolutely put the deep ball on a dime. Stephon Gilmore would have had trouble covering that play 1:1, nevermind a Michigan safety who gave the WR a running head start.

...but Clifford (who's no world-beater as QB)
He may not be, but with this game, he set a PSU record for most TD passes (16) through 7 games.

He's got a lot of room for growth and improvement, but there are a whole host of teams that would love their QB yo have this line - especially the INT number:
CMP ATT CMP% YDS AVG TD INT LNG RTG
116 184 63 1,742 9.5 16 2 72 169.1

I watched a good chunk of that Michigan-Penn State game and had no idea what Penn State was doing in the second half offensively. It made zero sense - and they let their best RB not even play until basically the final drive of the game.

Absolutely bizarre game management, which is a Franklin hallmark.

A passer rating of 169.1 out of a maximum of 158.3 seems pretty good, now that you mention it.
