DeLeon scored a real banger to put Toronto up 2-1. Atlanta throwing numbers forward late, looking for the equalizer.
I went to 2002 in Foxboro, but I never attended any of the subsequent 4 losses. I really hope to make it back to another once soon because the league and the final itself have really grown into a much bigger event in those 17 years. It was a smaller crowd, but a much better atmosphere when the Revs hosted the East final second leg in 2014.So, I gave in and bought airfare and secondary market tickets.
I'm curious if anyone else has been to an MLS Cup before? The one I went to in 2006 was crazy, but that's mainly because I was drunk and high-fiving with Don Garber during the shootout.
Would be hard to top Baggio for context and execution, short of an outright swing and a miss I suppose.By the way, I still think Jay Heaps’s 2006 penalty is the worst I’ve ever seen by a professional.
This was definitely the most exhilarating soccer atmosphere I have personally experienced. Fun times. It was a smaller crowd, but a much better atmosphere when the Revs hosted the East final second leg in 2014.
