I get the basic premise, but it seems Boras is putting a lot more effort into the defense than we’d see from a typical agent. I guess it’s a slow news week and this gets him in front of the cameras, but I don’t know what else he sees in the situation.
It's good business and why so many players sign up with him. Why wouldn't he use a highly visible situation to show both current and perspective clients that he works hard for all clients regardless of stature or contract status. He's no fool.

Seemingly this means Dodger prospects coming this way. Hoping for Verdugo and 1-2 of their #6-10 rated guys.
My gut is that LA will relent by offering quantity over quality. Rather than offering one of Gray/Downs/Gonsolin in lieu of pre-medicals Graterol, my guess is that BOS will get 2-3 lower-ranked prospects. Perhaps Dennis Santana (#10), Omar Estevez (#15, blocked by Lux and Downs) and a lotto ticket like Robinson Ortiz (#25). I don't think there's much chance BOS will get two top ten prospects out of LA (not counting Verdugo as a prospect for this purpose).

A reasonable return would be Verdugo/Downs or Gonsolin or Gray/A ball lottery ticket

I didn’t love the original trade, but if the front office really is considering changing the deal because of fan/media reaction, then that is concerning to say the least.
I agree with you that it would be concerning but the news reports are mostly from commentators using second hand sources that have agendas. This is a billion dollar industry run by professionals that aren't remotely influenced by the things that are brought up on this board. Most teams do make make more mistakes than not but they also course correct and pick up from where ever their choices leave them, as professionals should. We are all speculating on what is going on but I assume it is less of shit show the commentators are tweeting.

I would love think this was Chaim’s plan all along. But it’s still pending medicals, don’t forget.

more threads are better?

I know it says pending medical review but you have to believe that the Dodgers already approved Graterol’s medicals otherwise this would be a total waste of time.
