I'll take Rich and his "call in and tell me about a time..." 100 out of 100 times over Jones's phoney "I know they won a playoff game 15-2 but who cares and they're going to lose and diksufhgsiudfgsdir" garbage.

I also heard Joe Murray say "I'll only be here another couple of weeks [on the show]..." so the implication to me was this week plus next week at a minimum before the band is back together again. Post-Labor Day seems like a good bet. (#bankrollboys)

Yep Nick said the new book starts then. Love having Fred back, hope he's got his shit together and is ready to plow ahead and be back to being awesome Fred. We need someone to level out Rich's yelling and laughing constantly when he's in the A chair.

How many times did they play the curse of Dale Arnold this morning? I heard it 3 times including 10 minutes apart

Unfortunately no Fred today. Hope he’s back soon and doing alright.

Edit: Looks like he's officially back tomorrow.

Would be a bonus if he got his family situation together again, which may be based upon the picture, divorces suck. I just hope Fred's in a good place mentally and ready to go and excited to be back. Looking forward to it.

At the very least he has their full support which is what he's going to need.

Can't wait to listen tomorrow.

Fred's back, on time, in a good mood. Sounds like detox/rehab and everything went very well, outside of his smoking now. But glad to have him back and he's doing better.

This story is crazy."kicked" out after 1 day because his roommate had Corona. Told him to call an Uber and get out. 11 PM
Dude has miserable luck.

I'm happy he's doing well, he's helped a lot of people over the years directly or indirectly.

For anyone interested. The first hour podcast is up
T & R first hour - September 9, 2020

edit:
And now hour 2 - he goes into all the details during this hour
He gives a shout out to SoSH coming back from the first commercial break in the first hour. He also says something to the effect of he’s not going to check the board again so folks should feel free to say what they really think.

I’m glad to hear him back on the air and hope he continues to take care of himself.

The show is so much better with Fred back. He caught Jon napping a couple days ago, which led to some pretty funny exchanges that day and the following morning. I like Murray, but he isn’t that type of host.

Jon also got Fred this morning - Fred claimed the 86 Jets were better than the Pats and had to be informed that the Jets lost to Pats in the playoffs as a home team

What followed was funny rant about the Jets, beaing a fan and other fans of the Jets. Great listen as a Pats fan

Do people really like Joe Murray? Have you ever heard his weekend joe show? He's a screaming hot take idiot

I'm a fan in small doses.. He's great when he's got room to veer off into non-sports for a few, and I listen to at least the NFL half of his gambling show each week.

I love him especially in the morning and on weekends. I honestly feel like he would be a great 3rd if they ever replaced Wallach.

He was over the top today yes. But I think overall he's good.

I literally spit coffee out laughing during the Florida segment today. “I’m gonna do wheelies in front of Pamela’s house” had me dying. So great to have Fred back.

Shitting on Jim Gray for 2 days was great. I give props to DA for asking that question to Jim Gray and shitting on T&R at the same time, which made it a great question. As opposed to the previous post, I like the gambling talk and BankRoll Boyz, but I do agree with Fred they've been kinda lazy lately. They put out a 2.5 hour podcast on gambling the day before, bring the energy for 20 min on Thursdays.

Fred is great about pulling controversy out of his ass and making for an interesting show. I mean that sincerely. I thought Rich wanting nothing to do with it was hilarious and is definitely how I'd handle being put in that spot. Fred's a dick, but he's usually not wrong. I also enjoy the gambling content (at this amount), but if the boyzzz can't handle some light jabs to do better, then they shouldn't be trying to make a career in radio.

As opposed to Rich who's all about beating a dead horse and then beating it dead again and again and again. I really like Rich, but man can he be awful radio when he's on his high horse sometimes. He digs his heels in on the weirdest stuff and throws a tantrum. I'm not referring to the COVID stuff, which I 100% understand with his family situation, my wife's family is in the same situation with MGH as his wife and it blows, but its' about random stupid crap and he acts like a baby.

"I'm the damn host!"

- Rich yelling at Joe Murray for having an opinion

It’s been really intriguing to listen to Fred’s journey. He’s ornery as shit, but then gets really open about his struggle and gets zen from time to time.

Could have done without his busting on Alex Trebek (and Coach from Cheers, for some reason) - making fun of people for caring about them when they died - and then turning around and spending a show (rightly) praising Tommy the next day.

I've been on RedZone, but I'm loving Talib on color for the Lions game. He's like Romo, except not super annoying.

You’ll think he’s annoying soon enough. Happens to all announcers.

The online streams for TSH suck.

I had been listening on my Amazon Echo via TuneIn for a while without issue, but moved over to twitch when TuneIn would stop at random times during a show. Then the same thing happened to twtich and I moved back to TuneIn. Have had to restart TuneIn four times so far this morning, which is actually less often than usual.

Same here, and TuneIn has been a lot worse lately it seems. I have similar issues trying to stream from their website.
