Has it been a litany of unforced errors like this all afternoon? You must be tearing your hair out.
Yes. Every good thing that tOS has done has been immediately nullified by a bad. They scored a TD but it was called back. They have had a couple of REALLY bad INTs. And the penalties. Plus the 3rd and 2 and the missed FG.

But they are still in the game. But Fields needs to get his head out of his ass.

Kicker seemed to be worried about that one getting blocked, causing him to push it to the side (and cut under it — it barely had the length).

Fields 9/23, 2 INT.

Win or lose, his Heisman chances are done.

But he’s making the right reads in the running game, and as you said, the O-line is on point. They should be able to win this without much from the passing game.

Ryan Day agrees. He's like, "I've seen enough passing, let's just pound it."

Surprised that tOSU called a pass on third down. I think I would’ve staked the outcome on that O-line and Sermon getting 4 yards on 2 carries or whatever.

Does OSU only need to win to make top 4 or do they need style points?
They just need to win. TAMU has a loss and won’t be a conference champion, the Big 12 champion will have 2 losses, no one is going from the PAC-12, and the Committee has signaled clearly how it feels about Cincinnati.

I think Florida has no way in now - Texas A&M beat Florida H2H and has one fewer loss than Florida will have. I do think a Notre Dame win *could* kick Clemson out.
All the chaos scenarios required tOSU to lose. Only TAMU has a chance to crash the party at this point.

I think TAMU is in for sure if ND beats Clemson, and might have an opening if Clemson wins in a blowout.

Bad pass by Book. Huge.

That FG miss (a chip shot) was a quick 10 point swing and then ND blows the 4th down there. This is exactly what they couldn't let happen.

ND is being outclassed up and down the field now, after ND had an early chance to take a 10 point lead. This could get out of hand quickly.

This is over. I guess watching ND lose in the playoffs will be more competitive than TAM, so hopefully they keep it closeish

So if ND loses, do they drop to 4th and they play Alabama, or do they switch places in the rankings with Clemson and we end up with ND/Clemson part III?
Think it all depends on how this plays out. If Clemson wins by like 24 or something, ND might be in trouble.

Why? A&M got blasted by Alabama already with no win as good as against Clemson.

Clemson v OSU

Bama v ND
