Uber issue

My sister cannot sign into the uber app, because it’s not recognizing the email address she created the account with, and she’s forgotten her password. However, it is still recognizing her mobile number, so she can’t even just start over and sign up as a new customer. There appear to be no customer service phone numbers to get this resolved. Has anyone else encountered this, or have any suggestion? Thanks.

My Uber account seemed to be connected to my ex's email and locked me out too. She was psychotic. I couldn't contact her or get someone with Uber via email or phone. I moved to a town in Montana with no Uber or Psycho Ex. It solved both problems for me.

If moving to Montana isn't a solution maybe try searching "locked out of Uber - Reddit". I see a lot of subreddits come up on the subject. Good luck. I'll be stoked if someone here does know a solution rather than my give up and head for the mountains fix.

Uber does not have a number but they do have a help line where you can correspond by email.

I have had to deal with them that way for issues such as trip issues, lost and found, etc.

Here is a screenshot from the help screen on my phone Help>Account and Payment Options>I can´t sign in...

Not the best solution, but if your sister isn't getting anywhere with recovering her account and needs to use ride share in the meantime (assuming Lyft isn't an option), she could try creating a free Google voice number on her cell phone and creating a new account that way.

I think she’s just decided to go with Lyft instead. It’s absolutely absurd that a company of Ubers size and scale offers no immediate, direct way to deal with these kinds of customer service issues.

Yup. I had to contact them once and I spent about 30 minutes trying to figure it out. They simply don't want to talk to you unless you're a driver.
