Durant played superhuman basketball this series. I wonder how this would have played out if Nash didn’t tighten up his rotation so much.

Role players tend to be more reliable at home in the playoffs.

What happened to Jeff Green? Injury flare up? 13 minutes and didn’t attempt a shot.
Sometimes those Benzos hit.

I like Giannis the guy not nuts about watching him play ball. If the Nets had fans, Lopez knocking them out would be bittersweet. I’ve never felt less sad for any fan base.

Durant is great but not great enough to make up for Big Game James Harden Disappearing Act (BGJHDA).

It's weird that Jeff Green only played 12 minutes after he won Game 5 for Brooklyn (along with Durant, of course) and he's a big wing that can play decent defense.

Milwaukee is an extremely likeable team. Giannis the most likeable NBA superstar, consistently classy, stayed loyal to the small-market team that took a chance on a skinny kid playing Div. 2 ball in Greece. Middleton is a crazy NBA development story in his own right but pales in comparison to Giannis, perhaps the most unlikely NBA MVP in history. Holiday and Lopez are respected vets. Local boy Pat Connaughton, etc.

I mean…it was probably the right thing to do but on that last possession KD passes it to Harden - maybe hoping he can at least draw some gravity but Harden passed right back to him. KD really was on an island for this Nets team. Harden had nothing. Griffin was probably their second best player on the floor.

Brook Lopez blocking KD’s layup with 60 seconds left and the game tied was so huge.

Celtic killer Middleton with the clutch gamewinner mid-range jumper.

Great game to watch.

Durant was about an inch from one the greatest shots in NBA post season history
Now it goes alongside Jerry Wests 70 footer against the Knicks in 1970. Sends it OT, but Knicks win. (Not a game 7 though)

The internet might explode with all the wacky scenarios that would play out in a bucks vs sixers series.

Adios Nets!

KD is a joy to watch and delivered, but the other two pricks can go fuck themselves for eternity and the bearded fuck can go figure out a natural shooting motion.
I'm hoping the enforcement of the new rule will cause a Sammy Sosa-like end to Harden's career.

He took over from Kidd.....

But really Bud has a rep. His teams really maximize the regular season, then come playoffs when teams really game plan for you and lock in, they get shredded while he looks bewildered and disheveled. He's really good at one thing.
Well, Bud has learned that he can't limit his max contract guys to 36 minutes and win. That's one small step forward.

It’s very interesting how harden gutted it out and played hurt, but Kyrie didn’t even attempt it.
The grimace on KD's face when he found out it wasn't a 3P was an All-time look. I've got to think it's going to be a viral meme.

KD is for sure fun to watch, but he's also almost as fun to root against as LeBron. I'm not shedding any tears that this superteam attempt went down in flames year one.

0 shots for the Nets bench.

0.
Only one bench player for either team (Connaughton) attempted a single shot tonight. The Nets were 1-11 in OT, fatigue finally set in.

Durant is the best player in the league. Kyrie gone, Harden gutted it out but probably shouldn't have, Giannis pulling his weight and getting some help down the stretch from Holiday/Middleton...Durant still almost pulled it off.

I don't think we've ever been able to say it because Lebron was so good and then he went to the Warriors and missed a year, but there's no player I'd rather have in a playoff series right now. He averaged over 35 ppg (including multiple daggers) playing on an island, guarded by a team with multiple players who did a really credible job on him (Tucker got all the credit, but Holiday and Middleton more than held their own, as did Giannis when he picked him up). This was as impressive a performance by a player in a losing effort since LeBron in the 2015 finals.

And in the games yesterday we had Tyrese Maxey, and Terrance Mann suddenly step up and carry their teams at time.

The wrong team traded for Harden. Sixers would be the prohibitive favorite for the championship with Harden instead of Simmons right now. But for Schadenfreude purposes I don't hate how it turned out!

One can only dream of a 1/15 FGA with 2/12 FTA from Simmons tomorrow.

Just stopping by to say ‘fuck you Kyrie’ in a totally anti-racist way, despite knowing that his narcissism will not allow him to be upset because since he was not involved he won’t really care about losing.

I know we are supposed to hate the Nets, but the Bucks are so unlikable. They play such ugly basketball. Really hope they don’t make the Finals.

There aren't any real belles of the ball left though. Besides Trae the distributor, as opposed taking 30 footers, the Hawks and Sixers are tough watches. Then the Clippers haven't been too attractive, and I'm not counting on the Suns to look great without CP3 early in the series.

A war of attrition the rest of this postseason. Grit and balls more than pretty basketball.

The Suns are clearly the belle of the ball. Devin Booker is beautiful to watch.
