No, I said this one was fine. Just that in general I'm usually wary of this kind of thing because it's like "Well, what kind of culture did you allow where your organization is lagging a decade behind all other industries in the country in people feeling safe to come out?" despite them saying how supportive they are.
But, it doesn't matter, if the support is genuine after the fact then moving forward is all that I care about. I'm praising the NHL here.
Edit: Just continuing my thought process here, as an LGBTQ+ person, when the Red Sox did that "it gets better" push it honestly meant a lot to me. So I appreciate that kind of thing. But on the same token, tomorrow will mark 10 years since that event and there's still no out MLB player? Words can mean a lot, but they only go so far by themselves.
But, this is a good thing, I don't mean to be a downer. Just trying to add some perspective.
