deep inside Guido territory
TNF: Cowboys at Saints
National Doubleheader Game: Ravens at Steelers 4:25 CBS
SNF: Broncos at Chiefs
MNF: Patriots at Bills
Maps: https://506sports.com/nfl.php?yr=2021&wk=13
--Most of the country is getting Chargers at Bengals on CBS early. On Fox early, it's pretty chopped up.
--In NYC, we're getting Eagles/Jets on CBS early, Ravens/Steelers. Fox, it's Giants-Dolphins early.
--In Boston, the early window is Chargers/Bengals and Bucs/Falcons and late is Ravens/Steelers.

What’s the deal with eastern and central Ct and western MA and DC getting Philly Jets instead of a much better game?

The choices in that slot are Eagles/Jets, Chargers/Bengals, Colts/Houston and Vikings/Lions

The Jets are a divisional rival for Patriots fans and the Eagles are a divisional rival for Giants fans (of which there are quite a few in CT and WMass).

No one outside of 75 miles from NYC/NENJ or Philly should be getting that one, when Chargers Bengals is available.

I suggest you write a sternly worded memo to league headquarters

I was under the impression that the local TV station got to pick there games (outside of a few league rules). I would write strongly worded letters to all of the stations with that game outside of Cinci and NY

The affiliates are assigned games by the network. While I dont know the method, an affiliate that's outside the primary market of the road team or the sold out home team (is selling out still required?) can request a different game.

Also, the sense of entitlement people have about sports scheduling is obnoxious.

Some games will be great, some will suck. Some teams might even be on a bye. All the games will be played and more people will watch than any other sport is watched . Many of those people watching also play fantasy and care about the schedule but it also doesn't make or break any weekend. Some people might even make wagers on these games. They will be particularly interested.

Not EVERY game can be great. An NFL Sunday is still the best sports entertainment in the world. The only thing that competes is the first two days of the NCAA Hoops tourney. And that is two days in one single week. The NFL gives 18 Sundays of awesome.

I understand why people who don’t pay for premium NFL content (Sunday Ticket or RedZone) are frustrated by the league’s (and its broadcast partners’) failure to make basic, common-sense changes to improve the over-the-air offering. Specifically, there should be two early and two late games each week, and in most cases the national game shouldn’t be bumped in favor of a game featuring the local team’s divisional rival. It’s not just us having to watch stupid Jets and Dolphins games — my friend in KC routinely complains about getting random Raiders and Chargers games.

Chargers Bengals should be a great game. Kind of a shitty slate in the other spots, but excited to see that - pretty big playoff implications on the line.

That plus there are plenty of people in MD/DC/VA not in “Metro Baltimore” that are Ravens fans (and I would guess more than Eagles fans) that would want to see the Bengals and not the Jets. But are getting the Jets.

9 points probably wins it for the Cowboys. Don’t know why they wouldn’t kick

Although a floater probably gets7 there

Trevor Siemian sucks, and I say that as someone who has followed him hopefully since his Northwestern days. However, Taysom Hill should not be starting at QB for an NFL team.

Johnson made the move from receiver to TE you say? Would Harry? Could Harry? I know it was discussed somewhere but good to see someone has done it.

Saints are a very different team. Winston, Kamara, and both tackles are not playing tonight.
Also Peat at Guard is on IR. Not sure who played Center then. Just Ruiz left I think from the line.
Their current line is a shell of that one.

Right toe was throwing up some rubber bits, so it's a catch for Dallas.
