I'm guessing pitching and playing the A's and Rangers 18 times eachHow did this Seattle team make the playoffs?
Definitely by inning 19 would be fair.Teams should be able to bring players back into the game in extra innings. This game needs fresh hitters.
I mean, they’ve played three very tight games against the best team in the AL, a team that dominated them in the regular season. How did this Seattle team make the playoffs?
I just looked at the box score. The Red Sox scored 4 runs in the 3rd inning and then 16 scoreless innings.I was at Safeco for the 19-inning game that Mike Cameron won for Seattle with a home run off Jeff Fassero.
Thanks for the reminder
How exactly would winning game 1 have helped them to get Alvarez out in game 2 or score some runs today? The series was over after blowing game 1. That was so awful they deserve this.
Cheer for the nuke.I might have to cheer for the MFY’s before I can cheer for the Astors.
It doesn't "help them" but they've been completely dead since that happened. They were fired up and exciting through the wild card and through game 1 until that happened. They've looked like a different team since then. How exactly would winning game 1 have helped them to get Alvarez out in game 2 or score some runs today?
Up 7 to 3 in the 8th and just rolling and losing the way they did was definitely a dagger. It doesn't "help them" but they've been completely dead since that happened. Not everything is on the stat sheet.
